Welcome to the Cumberland County Association for Indian People (CCAIP)
We are a community-driven, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering the Indian People of Cumberland County, NC. Since 1972, we have been committed to fostering self-determination and self-sufficiency among our community members, helping them thrive socially, economically, legally, and politically.

Our Purpose
The CCAIP, through various initiatives, also supports the planning and delivery of services by utilizing local, state, and national networking resources in the following areas of community empowerment:
- Education: Providing resources and opportunities to support academic success and lifelong learning.
- Native American Arts and Crafts: Preserving and celebrating the artistic heritage of our people.
- Cultural Enrichment: Offering programs and events that deepen cultural understanding and pride.
- Job Referral Services and Employment Training: Connecting individuals with opportunities to advance their careers and skills.
- Economic Development: Encouraging initiatives that strengthen financial independence and community growth.
- Housing and Health Needs: Addressing essential needs to ensure a higher quality of life for our community members.
